                                     What We Believe

IMG_12151[1].jpg

The Holy Bible

We believe and accept the holy scriptures as recorded in the King James Version as the inspired, infallible Word of God, written by holy men of God as they were moved upon by the Holy Ghost; to be the all sufficient authority in matters of faith, doctrine,   and Christian living.

(II Timothy 3:15-17, II Peter 1:20-21)

The Birth of Jesus Christ

We believe that an angel of the Lord appeared  unto a virgin named Mary.  The angel told Mary that the Holy Ghost would come upon her; she would conceive in her womb and bring forth a son and call his name Jesus.  We believe that Jesus was God manifested in the flesh.

(Luke 1:27-25, Matthew 1:23, John 1:14)

The Resurrection

We believe Jesus Christ rose from the dead after being three days in the grave. After his resurrection, Jesus showed himself alive to his disciples by many infallible proofs. It behooved Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name.

(Mark 8:31, Matthew 28:1-7, Luke 24:46-47, Acts 1:3)

 Salvation

We believe salvation is a gift received by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and expressed in an individual's repentance of sins, recognition of the death of Christ as full payment for sin, and acceptance of the risen Christ as Saviour and Lord.  We believe that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Salvation produces a changed life.

(Romans 10:9-10, Romans 10:13, II Cor 5:17)

Baptism

We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus for the remission of sins and in the baptism of the Holy Ghost; speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. This symbolizes the burial of the "old    man",  which is of the world and the rising of the "new man" which is created in Christ Jesus.

Acts 2:38, Acts 2:1-4, Romans 6:4-5)

The One True God

We believe that all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily in Jesus. We believe that Jesus and the Father are one.  And there is only one true and      living God.

(Col 1:19, Col 2:9, John 10:30, John 14:9-10)

Divine Healing

We believe that divine healing is a part of the church's ministry and divine healing is part of Christ's plan of redemption for the body of Christ.

(Isaiah 53:5, Matthew 9:35,  Mark 16:17-18, Luke 4:40)

Sanctification

We believe that all believers should live a life of sanctification. We are sanctified through the Holy Ghost and through the word of truth. We believe God has called all Christians to come out from among the world and be separate.

(Romans 15:16, John 17:17, II Cor 6:17, I Peter 1:15-16)

The Second Coming of Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ will return to earth a second time to get his church. No man knows the day or hour of His coming. We believe the second coming of Christ will occur as stated in Matthew 24:29-31.
